Longtime NBA star Allen Iverson, who turns 37 in a few days, would be a star attraction in the bj-league. He would fill the seats with fans and the media would folow his team and the league much more closely.
I'll say it again: Bringing Iverson to the bj-league would be a win-win situation, especially for a brand new team in Tokyo.
In fact, it's a no-brainer for the Tokyo Cinq Reves to find a way to sign Iverson, whose small stature and gutsy play are traits Japanese can relate to. He'd be a huge hit here. He'd give the league a much-needed dose of credibility on the global scale. He can still play for several more years, if he stays healthy.
The bj-league should do everyting in its power to help one of its 21 teams make this happen.
